Buying guide: Essential Oils

Essential oils are steam distilled or cold pressed from plants and bring natural scent and benefits to soaps, creams, hair oils and diffuser blends. Each oil lists its botanical name and extraction method.

Use essential oils at 0.5 - 1% in leave-on products and up to 2% in rinse-off soaps. Start with a 25 g tester, then buy 100 g or 1 kg for production batches.

Essential Oils FAQs

How much essential oil should I add to soap?

About 1 - 2% of the base weight in soap, that is 10 - 20 g per kilo, and 0.5 - 1% in creams and lotions.

Are your essential oils pure?

Yes. They are single-origin essential oils without added carriers or synthetic fragrance. A COA is available on request.
